Bardia National Park

Bardia national park (968 sq km) is the largest and peaceful conservation area situated in Nepal’s Western Terai. It  was established in 1988 for protecting the representative ecosystems and conserving the habitat of tiger and its prey species .The park and local communities jointly manage the buffer zone, together they initiate community development activities and manage natural resources in the buffer zones.

The wide range of vegetation types in forest and grassland provides excellent habitat for 642 faunal species.  The Bardiya National Park is home to at least 53 mammals including greater one-horned rhinoceros, Indian elephant, Bengal tiger, barasingha, and Gangetic dolphin.  The Karnali-Babai river system, their small tributaries and myriads of oxbow lakes is habitat for 125 recorded species of fish and the current check list included 407 species of birds

Babai valley is a majestic place to visit where flagship Rhino, tiger, and elephant can be cited in the wilderness

The Bardia national park is a three hour jeep ride from Nepalgung which is 1 hr 10 mins by air and 531km by road from Kathmandu.

Day 2: Whole day Jungle walk /Trek with packed lunch
Day 3: Elephant back safari and visit to the Elephant breeding center/Jungle trek or jeep safari ( Minimum 4 Person needed)
